The contemporary International Meeting of Communist and Workers’ Parties has become the multilateral communication platform for the world communist and workers’ parties. The multilateral communication platform runs on its common ideological basis of Marxism-Leninism，fights against imperialism，and against international monopoly capital，fights for peace，democracy，progress and socialism，which are set as its political basis for joint activity，operates on the basic principles of equal rights，respect for diversity，and non interference in internal affairs，and is built on the common goal of strengthening the contact，promoting friendship，exchanging work experiences and ideas，advancing the development of world socialist movement. If the development of bilateral relations between the parties has been the main form of unity and cooperation of the world socialist movement since the drastic changes of the Soviet Union and Eastern Europe，then the International Meeting of Communist and Workers’ Parties is an important complement to the form of the unity and cooperation of the world socialist movement.
