对外贸易在日本经济增长过程中起了非常重要的作用，而阶段性的对外贸易结构性调整则贯穿日本经济增长的整个过程。那么，对外贸易结构性调整同经济增长之间的关系怎样？对外贸易结构性调整是否达到了政策预期？对外贸易调整在制度安排上是如何变迁的？等等。当前，我国经济正处于关键性的阶段，在资源环境约束、经济发展模式转变和全球化程度进一步提高的前提下，对外贸易面临着结构性调整的必要。因此，研究日本对外贸易的结构性调整具有一定的借鉴意义。
During Japanese economic growth process，foreign trade has played an important role and undergone corresponding structural changes in relation to the economic stages. This paper tries to demonstrate some intrinsic relationship between the structural changes of foreign trade and economic growth in each stage，effects of the structural adjustments and institutional connotations beneath those structural changes. Furthermore，it sums up several enlightment for China’s economy which seems to be alike at the similar stage of Japan in the past and needs structural adjustments for foreign trade characterized by processing trade after development of two decades.
