2011年的中印关系总体上是平稳的。两国双边贸易迅猛发展，印度对华贸易逆差显著，中国以积极的姿态应对双边贸易不平衡问题。中印中断9个月的军事交流得到恢复，但印度对华政策立场也趋于强硬。中印首次战略经济对话意义重大，但议题有限，合作需要从概念落实到实践。
The China-India relations was stable in 2011. Bilateral trade between the two countries grew rapidly, while India's trade deficit with China is forecast to grow beyond the value of last year. As to the issue of trade imbalance, China has been taking a positive position. The military exchange between the two sides resumed following its suspension in August 2010. However, India's attitude towards China is becoming more assertive. China-India Strategic Economic Dialogue(SED) is significant, but there sould be efforts to supplement the agenda.
