中国与印尼双边关系的发展在历史上经历过曲折，但是自从1990年两国恢复外交关系特别是1998年印尼进入民主转型时期以来，两国的关系迅速发展，从睦邻友好合作关系到确立战略伙伴关系，双方在经贸、政治和安全、人文社会交流等各领域全面发展，展现了广阔的发展前景。但是，由于某些原因，中国与印尼关系的发展还存在着一些问题和挑战，需要双方一起努力加以克服，共同推动双边战略伙伴关系不断走向深化。
The bilateral relation between Indonesia and China had undergone a torturous development path, but since 1990 particularly since 1998 when Indonesia entering uthe period of democratic transition the development of the relation advanced quickly from a good-neighborly and friendly relation to a strategic partnership, and expanded in all fields including economic and trade relation, political and security cooperation and social and personnel exchanges with a bright future prospect. However, there were still exists some problems and challenges ahead which needs the two countries to work together to push the established strategic partnership forwards into the future.
