对国际资本的依赖导致土耳其经济极易受到欧美国家经济波动的影响。在这次由美国次贷危机引发的全球金融危机中，土耳其金融市场受到巨大冲击，国民经济开始收缩、失业率不断攀升、国际收支出现双重赤字。土耳其政府和土耳其央行虽然采取各种措施刺激本国经济，冲销危机造成的影响，但效果并不明显。土耳其经济未来的发展仍取决于全球经济，特别是欧美经济的好转。
Turkey is easy to be affected by the economic turbulence in Europe and America because of its dependence on international capital. Turkish financial market was seriously stuck by the financial crises and this resulted in declined growth，higher unemployment and deficits of the balance of payments. Although the government took a variety of measures stimulating economy and reducing the shock of the crises，they did not produce evident effects. The prospect of Turkish economy will depend on the recovery of the world economy in general and of the European and American economies in particular.
