中国人的欧盟观主要来自民众和精英两个层面，主要内容包括：对欧盟的好感度、对欧盟国际影响力的评价、对中欧关系现状和前景的看法。中国精英和民众在大多数问题上的欧盟观是相对乐观和积极的，但近两年下行趋势较为明显。精英比民众的欧盟观更为理性，在涉及中欧关系现状问题上，民众态度比精英积极，而在涉及好感度和未来发展前景上，精英态度更积极一些。中国人欧盟观的形成主要受中欧关系大环境、中国对欧战略以及全球化背景下中国人心态变化的影响。
The Chinese people’s Perception of the EU can be roughly divided into two groups：that of the public and of the elite，which has been surveyed from three perspectives including the favorability degree to the EU，the evaluation of the EU’s international influence and the opinions towards the status quo and prospect of China-EU relations.Both the elite and public view the EU relatively optimistically and positively in general terms，however，in the recent two years the percentage of those being positive is increasingly descending.The elite’s Perception towards the EU is more rational than that of the public.The public are more positive than the elite with regard to the status quo of China-EU relations，and vice versa with regard to the favorability to the EU and the future development of the bilateral relations. As a conclusion，the Chinese people’s Perception of the EU have been influenced by the general atmosphere of China-EU relations，China’s strategy towards the EU and the changing mentality of the Chinese people against the background of globalization.
