This report quantitatively evaluates the green finance development level of 50 countries worldwide and derives national indices based on the Global Green Finance Development Index indicator system. The Global Green Finance Development Index measures the development of green finance in major global economies from three dimensions：policies and strategies，markets and products，and international cooperation. The “Global Green Finance Development Index” constructed in this report provides a quantitative assessment of green finance development in 50 countries through these three dimensions，aiming to offer references for countries to identify gaps and optimize development paths. Overall，France，Germany，China，Australia，Swizerland，the United Kingdom，the Netherlands，Singapore，Japan，and Canada have achieved favorable progress in green finance development. Developed countries generally demonstrate a higher level of green finance development，thanks to their mature economic systems and more robust financial markets. China is the only developing country among the top 10，with a green finance development path that features distinct local characteristics. In recent years，the Chinese government has continuously introduced relevant policies to guide the vigorous development of green finance，making China’s green finance market one of the largest in the world. Countries in Africa，the Middle East，and Central Asia，facing the dual pressures of underdeveloped economic systems and environmental protection，have witnessed relatively slow progress in green finance development and thus urgently need support from the international community. Looking ahead to 2024，the global development of green finance will continue to make new progress in areas such as expanding market scale，improving information disclosure，and strengthening international cooperation.
