As one of China’s key clusters for the robotics industry, the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area has made an early strategic layout in the field of humanoid robotics. The region ranks among the national leaders in terms of comprehensive industrial strength, particularly excelling in full-machine integration and holding core technologies in key areas such as the “brain” and the “body” of humanoid robots. However, the current stage of development faces several critical challenges, including unverified commercialization pathways,a lack ofsupporting platforms for industrial vocational training and insufficient integration of industrial chain resources. The research team suggests that the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area should fully leverage Guangdong’s solid industrial foundation,well-developed infrastructure, and abundant application scenarios to strengthen its leadership in this strategic sector. Key recommendations includeimplementing targeted policies, strengthening innovation support, deepening resource integration, and developing exemplary applications. These efforts will help the region achieve landmark innovations and breakthroughs, foster new industrial advantages, and cultivate fresh growth drivers. Ultimately, the goal is to establish the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area as a globally leading hub for humanoid robotics, supporting China’s early positioning and competitive edge in this strategically critical field.
