“西伯利亚力量-2”天然气管道是继中俄东线输气管道之后俄罗斯规划的第二条对华输气线路。蒙古国争取该管道过境既解决了本国内能源短缺和空气污染的困境，又能为其带来丰厚的过境费收入和创造就业岗位。俄罗斯的战略考量是促进天然气出口多元化、带动沿线地区经济发展和进一步与蒙古国实现利益捆绑。在蒙俄两国共同推动下，2021年已完成项目可行性研究并于2022年开始工程设计和征地等事宜。若该管道顺利落地，将成为中蒙俄经济走廊的示范性工程，也将对东北亚能源合作产生积极影响。
“Power of Siberia-2” is the second natural gas supply project between Russia and China after the “Power of Siberia” gas pipeline. Mongolia wants the pipeline pass through its territory，which will relief the country’s energy shortage and air pollution，also brings in transit fee revenue and create jobs. Russia’s strategic consideration include diversify the natural gas export market，promote economic development of the regions along the route，and further tie-up the interest of Russia and Mongolia. Under the joint effort of the two countries，the project feasibility study has been completed in 2021，and started the engineering design and land acquisition in 2022. It will be a flagship project of the China-Mongolia-Russia Economic Corridor if the pipeline is successfully commissioned，and will have a positive influence on the energy cooperation in Northeast Asia at large.
