由于新冠疫情的蔓延，蒙古国近两年的国内贸易和对外贸易均受到了影响，蒙古国新政府在控制新冠疫情蔓延的同时，采取措施调解政府和外国投资者之间的协议纠纷、改善国内投资环境、吸引外国直接投资。未来，蒙古国新政府延续上届政府的政策，在国家长期发展规划纲要《远景-2050》框架内，实施计划复苏国内经济、重视边境贸易发展、积极参与区域一体化。
