At present，Laos is still among the least developed countries in the world. Affected by the backward level of social and economic development，Laos still has a large space for the development of education，science and technology. Since the beginning of the 21st century，with the continuous efforts of the Lao government，Laos has made great progress in education，science and technology. In 2023，although Laos is facing economic and financial difficulties，which have a negative impact on the development of education，science and technology that rely on financial support，the government still spares no effort to promote the development of education and technology. In general，the development prospects of education and science in Laos are good but there are challenges in the short term.
