Laos is located in Southeast Asia，which is an agriculture-based developing country. In recent years，the economy has achieved rapid development and attracted the attention of all countries in the world. This paper systematically expounds the economic development status，problems，challenges，and future development trend of Laos as an inland developing country in 2023. The report provides a thorough analysis of Laos’s positive progress in economic growth，trade，investment and industrial development. At the same time，it reveals the deep-seated problems and severe tests in terms of inflation，public debt and trade deficit in Laos.
