This report analyzes the economic performance of Dongguan from 2012 to 2023 from four perspectives—production，demand，income，and prices—to provide a basis for government decision-making. From the production perspective，Dongguan’s total economic output has continued to grow，per capita indicators have significantly improved，and the industrial structure has been continuously optimized. From the demand perspective，household consumption and government expenditure have kept increasing，while investment demand and merchandise exports have grown amid fluctuations. From the income perspective，household income，corporate profits，and government revenue have generally increased. From the price perspective，prices in both production and consumption sectors have remained basically stable. Dongguan still faces challenges such as reduced corporate orders，great pressure for industrial transformation and upgrading，weak growth in government and household income，and sluggish consumption，investment，and foreign trade demand. In the future，it should enhance the competitiveness of the manufacturing industry by focusing on “scientific and technological innovation+advanced manufacturing”，boost high-quality development by accelerating the digital industrialization and industrial digitization，and strengthen domestic demand momentum by optimizing the consumption environment and tapping market potential.
