They are important gateway nodes representing countries to participate in global and regional competition. A hub-based global city integrates multiple core functions as a global resource allocation center and an open hub portal，leading high-end modern services，technological innovation strategies，high-end industries，and high-end value creation worldwide. Compared to prominent hub-based global cities，Guangzhou Randed among the top in global connectivity in modern service industry，a rising comprehensive strength，robust innovative resources and foundation，rich green development resources，and a closely infrastructure with global connectivity，while it still needs to ramp up efforts in high-end industries，capabilities to breed innovations，and green development. To become a hub-based global city going forward，Guangzhou should further strengthen the construction of a global hub network and improve its resource allocation capacity，emphasize the high-quality development of modern service industry to support its high-end industries，lead the construction of international hub portals with high-quality development of foreign trade，strengthen independent innovation to provide new impetus to enhance innovation breeding capacities，focus on the Belt and Road to further improve its opening up，and build a happy and livable city in light of green development and ecological conservation.
