Since the 21st century，as major powers have increasingly shifted their strategic orientation from land to sea，the struggle for maritime power has become a major theme of world politics for the international society. In this process，the complex interactions between the United States，as an established major power，and China and India，as rising powers，to a large extent constitute the fundamentals of maritime power struggling. Among them，the maritime game between China and the United States in the Western Pacific region，and India’s strategic vigilance against China’s presence in the Indian Ocean，have significantly promoted the maritime security cooperation between the United States and India in the “Indo-Pacific” region，shaping a strategic environment where cooperation and competition coexist among the three countries. Regarding the advancement and development of maritime security cooperation between the United States and India，China should maintain its due strategic vigilance while analyzing the strategic logic and practical constraints，and adopt comprehensive measures accordingly to safeguard its own maritime interests.
