Under the guidance of the “Three-Year Action Plan for Guangxi to Vigorously Develop the Ocean Economy and Build a Strong Maritime Region（2023-2025）”，the construction of the Pinglu Canal is progressing in full swing. Leveraging its superior geographical location，Beibuwan Port has become an important hub connecting western inland China and Southeast Asia. This report，based on the current new situations，backgrounds，and opportunities，objectively summarizes the development status and achievements of the Beibu Gulf International Gateway Port from seven aspects：port transportation scale，infrastructure construction，collection and distribution system，transportation services，port-adjacent industries，green and low-carbon initiatives，and smart ports. It analyzes the environment and foundation for the development of the Beibu Gulf International Gateway Port by examining the economic development status of Guangxi and the Beibu Gulf Economic Zone. Based on the above aspects，a series of issues existing in the current development stage of the port are proposed. By considering changes in the international shipping situation，the report interprets the new requirements of the nation and the autonomous region for the development of Beibu Gulf Port. According to the development orientation，foundation，external environment，and existing issues of the Beibu Gulf International Gateway Port，the report summarizes the main tasks and future prospects for the medium-and long-term development of the port.
