With the acceleration of urbanization，cities face increasing pressures on space and transportation，especially in densely populated metropolises like Shenzhen. Effectively utilizing limited land resources，enhancing transportation efficiency，and optimizing urban spatial planning have become urgent tasks for city managers. Shenzhen，through the rapid development of its urban rail transit system，the introduction of the TOD （Transit-Oriented Development） model，and technological innovation，has gradually alleviated transportation pressure，promoted rational spatial planning，and improved the quality of life for its residents. This study provides a detailed analysis of the construction and current status of Shenzhen’s urban rail transit，examining the relationship between urban rail transit and urban development. It focuses on the practice and exploration of the TOD model in Shenzhen，highlighting significant technological innovations in the city’s rail transit sector. The study aims to showcase how Shenzhen leverages urban rail transit and the TOD model to support urban civilization and sustainable development，offering a Shenzhen model for global urban development.
