China’s online literature has shown a general trend of continuous growth in scale and overseas influence，wide market distribution，continuous improvement of industrial ecology and rapid updating of development mode，and online literature overseas communication has presented features such as platformisation，diversification，youthfulness and integration. In terms of the existing situation of online literature overseas communication，Chinese online literature has its unique advantages，such as its cultural core with appeal，popular and differentiated narrative style，community culture to meet social needs，and technological application to empower going overseas. However，it still faces difficulties such as imperfect translation technology，homogenisation and stereotyping due to traffic risk，fierce competition in the global soft culture industry，and difficulties in monitoring copyright loss and infringement. In this regard，it is recommended to reduce cultural discounts through localisation，diversify production services to enhance user stickiness，expand diversified development paths through hierarchical industrial layout，and establish systematic operation and management to strengthen copyright protection and combat piracy.
