2023年，中国与太平洋岛国的国际中文教育合作总体发展形势良好。斐济、巴布亚新几内亚、萨摩亚等国的孔子学院（课堂）发展顺利，基里巴斯、瓦努阿图、汤加等国的国际中文教育也取得了新进展。尽管太平洋岛国的国际中文教育规模依然偏小，但随着中国与太平洋岛国双边关系的提升和共建“一带一路”倡议不断推进，太平洋岛国的国际中文教育未来发展前景向好。下一步，太平洋岛国的国际中文教育应稳步拓展“中文+职业技能”项目；加强区域化国际化合作，探索线上中文教学模式与资源开发；创新建立“国际中文学校”合作机制；持续推进中文纳入太平洋岛国国民教育体系；推进扩大本土中文后备师资培养规模和加大培养力度。
In 2023，the overall development of international Chinese education cooperation between China and Pacific island countries is in a good situation. Confucius Institutes（and Confucius Classrooms）in Fiji，Papua New Guinea，Samoa and other countries are developing smoothly，and new progress has been made in international Chinese education in Kiribati，Vanuatu，Tonga and other Pacific island countries. Although the scale of international Chinese education in Pacific island countries is still small，with the improvement of bilateral relations between China and Pacific island countries and the continuous progress of the “Belt and Road” initiative，the international Chinese education in Pacific island countries has broad prospects for future development. In future，a series of “Chinese + vocational skills” projects should be carried out steadily；the online Chinese teaching mode and resource development should be explored and enhanced through strengthening regional and international cooperation；the innovative cooperation mechanism of “International Chinese School” should be devised and established；the integration of Chinese education into the national education system of Pacific island countries should be continuously promoted；and the training of local Chinese teachers in Pacific island countries should be given great impetus to.
