In the history of overseas Chinese in Laos，due to the small number，weak economic strength and limited influence on the local area，the number of associations was limited，and the organizational form and function were single. Since the end of the 20th century，with a large number of Chinese mainland citizens moved to Laos and form a new driving force in economic and social development，there are new overseas Chinese associations，that its function expansion and concept change，play a positive role in the bilateral exchanges and cooperation between China and Laos. At the same time，there are several challenges including internal resources integration，the joint between the community. Rational treatment of these challenges will help them play a better role as a bridge and link between their homeland and living countries.
