In 2023,bilateral economic and trade exchanges and cultural exchanges between China and New Zealand are gradually recovering and developing;and frequent official interactions are maintained, including the official visit of the New Zealand Prime Minister to China. Overall,China-New Zealand relations in 2023 will remain resilient and dynamic, and China-New Zealand co-operation is both in the interests of the two countries and the mainstream will of the two societies. However,a series of factors, such as the current weak global economic recovery, frequent local conflicts, intensified global strategic competition, and certain domestic challenges faced by New Zealand and China, have also added negative factors and uncertainties to the relationship.
