Cities serve as key carriers of local narratives and are also important participants in the international discursive field. This report summarizes the annual progress in the field of urban international communication，highlights its significant characteristics，and provides an outlook on the paths that cities can take to further develop international communication. The report points out that as regions increasingly value international communication，various regions are demonstrating a proactive approach in engaging with international communication；the trend of collaboration and joint innovation among multiple entities is continuously strengthening；and supporting international communication through effective governance is becoming more evident. The characteristics include：using video social platforms to create multimodal content，seizing key influencers to promote the city，adopting micro-narrative techniques that are close to life，and strengthening the roles of service providers. The report also points out that efforts are still needed in utilizing new technologies，exploring local unique resources，and adopting diversified communication channels so the cities could reach a wider audience.
