In 2023，China-Indonesia relations have maintained a high-level operation under the guidance of head-of-state diplomacy. President Joko Widodo’s two visits to China and frequent meetings between key leaders have significantly strengthened the political mutual trust between the two nations，laying a solid foundation for comprehensive cooperation. In the economic domain，the opening of the Jakarta-Bandung High-Speed Railway has become a benchmark project for bilateral economic collaboration and a demonstrative achievement of the joint construction of the “Belt and Road Initiative”，with profound implications for the long-term development of the bilateral relationship. Concurrently，the “Two Countries，Two Parks” project has gained momentum，with robust momentum in trade and economic exchanges，and financial cooperation entering a new phase of cross-border RMB direct investment. In the realm of people-to-people exchanges，traditional strengths such as education，culture，and media continue to deepen and solidify，while technological exchange and cooperation emerge as new highlights. Building upon a solid foundation laid during the COVID-19 pandemic，health sector collaboration continues to expand. Practical advancements are also witnessed in maritime cooperation，including deep-sea mineral exploration，protection of biodiversity，utilization of marine biological resources，and the development of friendly fleet visits. With the clarification of the results of the Indonesian presidential election，it is anticipated that in 2024，the bilateral relationship will not face significant risks，and the trend towards maintaining a close and friendly relationship is expected to persist.
