Japan’s high-profile commemoration of 50 years of economic cooperation with ASEAN，with the central initiative being the “Japan-ASEAN Special Summit” held in Tokyo. The Kishida administration has carefully planned to make the summit agenda，content，and the “outlook statement” reflect Japan’s intentions，the main goal of which is to strengthen a meaningful，substantive，and mutually beneficial comprehensive strategic partnership based on mutual trust，respecting the unity and centrality of ASEAN through the “three pillars”，in order to strengthen intergenerational and long-term trust relationships. The trend of Japan-ASEAN relations will have varying degrees of impact on the regional situation，China-Japan relations，and even China-ASEAN relations. In the process of establishing and improving the China-ASEAN Community，this factor of Japan needs attention and response.
