2011年内战爆发以来，叙利亚难民问题持续恶化，给叙利亚国内以及周边国家带来了巨大的政治、经济困顿。但是与难民相关的环境问题却没有得到相应的重视。对于叙利亚本国来说，流离失所者的生存条件深受环境问题制约，居民的健康卫生状况因周边地区的环境污染而受到威胁；对于叙利亚难民收容国来说，难民的涌入加重了其本就脆弱的环境压力，引发了收容国民众的不满。叙利亚国内难民建造的临时炼油厂造成的环境污染、难民造成的森林退化以及固体废弃物污染等，周边难民收容国难民涌入，都加剧了生态环境问题。难民是战争的受害者，环境污染问题的产生主要原因在于战争及政府管理不善。

Refugees are victims of war，and the main causes of environmental pollution are war and poor government management.
