土耳其是叙利亚的重要邻国，两国在中东地缘政治中都扮演着重要角色。从叙利亚独立到20世纪末，叙土关系冲突与合作并存。进入21世纪后，叙利亚和土耳其关系维持了10年的蜜月期。2011年叙利亚危机爆发以来，叙土两国由友好迅速走向敌对。2016年底开始，两国关系又趋缓和。叙土关系发展受到殖民时代遗留的伊斯坎德伦归属问题、水资源争端、土耳其和以色列关系、库尔德人问题和土耳其实力变化等诸多因素影响。在叙土关系缓和的当下，两国关系的发展充满了不确定性。
Türkiye is an important neighbor of Syria，and both countries play a very important role in the geopolitical map of the Middle East. From the end of the 20th century after Syria’s independence，the Syrian-Turkish Relations showed the characteristics of conflict and cooperation. Since the beginning of the 21st century，the relationship between Syria and Türkiye has maintained a “honeymoon” period of 10 years. Since the outbreak of the Syrian crisis in 2011，Syria and Türkiye have rapidly moved from peaceful dialogue to hostility. Since the end of 2016，bilateral relations have moved towards relaxation. The development of Syria Türkiye relations was affected by many factors left over from the colonial era，such as the ownership of Iskendron，the dispute over water resources，the relationship between Türkiye and Israel，the Kurdish issue and the change of Turkey’s strength. At the moment of the easing of Syria-Türkiye relations，the development of bilateral relations is still full of uncertainties.
