叙利亚和俄罗斯曾长期保持友好的双边关系。2011年叙利亚内战爆发以来，俄罗斯不断加强与叙利亚在政治、军事、经贸、文化等领域的合作，双方的联盟关系得到了极大的巩固。然而随着叙利亚局势日趋稳定，叙俄关系因双方在叙利亚内战最终解决方案、对伊朗的立场，以及叙利亚对俄罗斯扩大在叙影响力日益警惕等方面出现隔阂。总体而言，两者间的“非对称联盟”关系是造成上述问题的主要原因。
Syria and Russia have maintained friendly bilateral relations. Since the outbreak of the Syrian civil war in 2011，Russia has continuously strengthened cooperation with Syria in the fields of politics，military，economy，trade and culture，and the alliance between the two sides has been greatly consolidated. However，with the increasing stability of Syria，the Relationship between Syria and Russia has some potential problems due to the differences in the final solution of the Syrian civil war，the cognition of Iran，and Syria’s increasing vigilance against Russia’s expansion of influence in Syria. In general，the “asymmetric alliance” relationship between the two is the main reason for the above phenomenon.
