2023年，我国世界文化遗产的价值特征保护和传承工作取得有力进展。具体而言，1处遗产地的总体格局、3处遗产地的功能使用以及54处遗产地的遗产要素保存均展现出积极的改善趋势。71处遗产地详细记录了病害台账信息，并且经过专业评估，89.25%的病害已得到有效控制。然而，仍需警惕建设活动、游客不文明行为和不规范旅游活动、恶劣天气以及部分已开始恶化的病害对遗产保护和传承效果的负面影响。针对当前形势，建议各地相关部门关注以下几项工作：加强遗产环境保护，严格监管建设行为；优化遗产利用功能，规范遗产旅游行为；积极应对气候变化，加强遗产抗灾能力；建立病害防治体系，确保遗产长期保存。
In 2023，China’s efforts to preserve and inherit the attributes of its World Cultural Heritage continued to make favorable progress. Specifically，one heritage site underwent positive changes in its overall layout，three heritage sites saw improvements in their utilization function，and 54 heritage sites exhibited positive trends in the preservation of their heritage elements. A total of 71 heritage sites recorded detailed disease data，with 89.25% of the diseases being effectively controlled following professional assessments. However，attention must still be paid to the potential negative impacts on heritage protection and inheritance，including those arising from construction activities，uncivilized behavior by visitors，irregular tourism practices，extreme weather，and the deterioration of certain diseases. In response to these challenges，it is recommended that relevant departments focus on the following tasks：strengthening the protection of heritage surroundings，strictly regulating construction activities，optimizing heritage utilization function，standardizing tourism behavior，actively addressing climate change，enhancing the disaster resilience of heritage sites，and establishing a disease prevention and control system to ensure the long-term preservation of heritage.
