赤道几内亚共和国是葡语国家共同体中唯一以西班牙语作为第一官方语言的国家，现任总统奥比昂一手缔造了现代赤几，自其执政以来，赤几政治环境一直处在相对稳定的状态。从2014年至今，国际油价下降对赤几这类资源型国家经济发展造成了深刻影响，为改变单一的经济结构，赤几政府提出2035年国家发展战略，将产业升级转型提上工作日程。近年来，随着与葡共体各国合作的不断深入，赤几在国际社会中的影响力持续增强。与此同时，中国与赤几的双边贸易额不断提高，合作前景更加广阔。
A República da Guiné Equatorial é o único país da Comunidade dos Países de Língua Portuguesa que usa o espanhol como a primeira língua oficial，e o atual presidente Obiang criou a Guiné Equatorial moderna，que tem estado em um ambiente político relativamente estável desde que assumiu o cargo. De 2014 até agora，o declínio nos preços internacionais do petróleo teve um impacto profundo no desenvolvimento económico dos países baseados em recursos，como a Guiné Equatorial，e para mudar a estrutura económica monolítica，o governo da Guiné Equatorial apresentou a Estratégia Nacional de Desenvolvimento 2035，que coloca a modernização e transformação industrial na agenda.
