Based on the new situation of global security，President Xi Jinping formally proposed the Global Security Initiative at the opening ceremony of Boao Forum for Asia Annual Conference 2022. The Global Security Initiative takes the “six commitments” as its main content，which not only clarifies China’s global security concept to the international community，but also points out the direction for the international community to jointly carry out global security governance. At present，due to the differences in security concepts and strategic competition among major powers，there is no dominant security cooperation norm in the Asia-Pacific region. Based on the normative connotation of the Global Security Initiative，this paper analyzes the reference value and guiding significance of the Global Security Initiative for building new security cooperation norms of Asia-Pacific. Subsequently，academic circles still need to explore this topic in the light of the reality of the Asia-Pacific region，which can not only enrich the regional implications of Global Security Initiatives，but also provide guidance for building new security cooperation norms of Asia-Pacific.
