In June 2024，the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership（RCEP）mark the first anniversary of its full entry into force for 15 signatories，which have a profound impact on the high-quality development of Beijing’s foreign trade. This report first reviews the new progress made by Beijing enterprises and RCEP member countries in trade in goods after the full implementation of RCEP，and makes an in-depth analysis of the status quo of import and export development from the overall dimension and country dimension respectively. Secondly，from the two aspects of service trade rules and service trade status，it analyzes the characteristics of the RCEP agreement in service trade，and the new achievements made by Beijing enterprises and RCEP member countries in service trade. Third，by interpreting the rules of RCEP on digital trade，as well as the digital trade potential of current RCEP member states and the digital trade endowment of Beijing，it provides new thinking on how to better build a regional digital trade system and promote the high-quality development of digital trade between Beijing enterprises and RCEP member states. Finally，it analyzes the key opportunities and core challenges for Beijing’s foreign trade to achieve high-quality development after the full implementation of RCEP from five dimensions：connecting Beijing’s “two zones” construction，stabilizing regional trade environment，improving technological innovation capability，deepening geopolitical pattern，and significantly increasing substitution effect. It also puts forward relevant policy suggestions for Beijing to further promote the high-quality development of foreign trade from the government level and enterprise level. This report has certain reference significance for Beijing to make good use of the RCEP agreement，give play to the advantages of the digital economy，and promote the high-quality development of foreign trade.
