The promotion of local economic development through foreign investment is a classic topic in economics. Based on an exploratory multiple case analysis of Huawei，Tsingshan Group，and the Jakarta-Bandung High-Speed Railway in Indonesia，this report analyzes the channels which Chinese investment and the local Indonesian economy develop synergistically，involving three aspects. In the channel of human capital，while participating in the local digital construction，Huawei vigorously carries out vocational training in digital technology，which has been crucial for the accumulation of digital talent in Indonesia and the development of its digital economy. In the channel of industrial chain expansion，Tsingshan Group，while developing Indonesia’s nickel resources，promotes the extension of Indonesia’s nickel industry chain downstream through the construction of smelting and processing projects and the expansion into the new energy industry，enhancing Indonesia’s position in the international division of labor in related industries. In the channel of factor mobility，the completion of the Jakarta-Bandung High-Speed Railway has improved the mobility of talent，technology，and capital in the West Java economic circle，empowering regional economic growth.
