Under the wave of the fourth technological revolution，intelligent manufacturing has brought about subversive changes to the traditional production methods，manufacturing paradigms，and industrial models. It plays a crucial supporting role in building a modern industrial system and fostering new productive forces. It is both a key and decisive move for China to build a strong manufacturing country. The intelligent manufacturing industry in China has entered a stage of rapid development，with both the industrial scale and the market scale rising rapidly，application scenarios continuously expanding，and pilot demonstrations of intelligent factories in full swing. However，there are still deficiencies such as being restricted by others in key technical equipment，insufficient development of intelligent application scenarios，weak infrastructure，unbalanced intelligentization levels among industries and regions，and an unfavorable industrial development ecological environment. In the future，in alignment with the basic requirements for the high-quality development of intelligent manufacturing，it is necessary to overcome key core technologies，extensively expand application scenarios，improve the layout of intelligent manufacturing infrastructure，and strengthen institutional and mechanism reforms. With high-quality development of intelligent manufacturing as the main direction，the construction of a strong manufacturing country should be advanced.
