The current era is experiencing unprecedented global transforma-tions unseen in a century，where an array of risks intertwine and converge into a labyrinth of complexity. From 2023 to 2024，amidst a turbulent external landscape and a gradual transition in epidemic management，China stays committed to strengthening its risk governance framework and regulatory measures. The goal is to proactively forestall economic risks，effectively address extreme weather-related disasters，and drive for new progress in resilient urban infrastructure development. Multiple measures have been taken in production safety to effectively restrain occurrence of major accidents. Digital and intelligent technologies have been utilized in emergency response scenarios in great depth. Additionally，an active approach has been taken on international collaboration in risk governance. The principle that emphasizes on prevention has translated into concrete initiatives across various sectors，resulting in steady improvements in China’s risk governance performance in climate change，economic progress，and production safety. Looking ahead，China will be guided by the principles of coordinating development with security while adopting a holistic approach to national security. This trajectory involves fostering a global and domestic community of shared future on security governance. Efforts will be directed towards cultivating new quality productive forces that align top-level strategies with practical experience both through policies and technologies. By systematically and inventively addressing multidimensional risks with full-process responses，such efforts aim to preemptively tackle major risks and build a safer and more resilient foundation for national development.
