The China International Import Expo（CIIE）is not only an international cooperation platform that transforms exhibits into commodities and exhibitors into investors，but also a high-standard open platform for aligning with international economic and trade rules，and effectively fulfilling the “Promise of CIIE”.

This report believes that it has been six years since the first CIIE was held in 2018，during which China has actively aligned with international economic and trade rules，continuously reduced the negative list of foreign investment and cross-border trade，and continuously improved the negative list management institution. In addition，international economic and trade rules have gradually changed from the main characteristic with “on the border” to “within the border”，and traditional rules have also begun to convert to high standard rules，which has improved the progressiveness of rules. Overall，the CIIE embodies the concept of trade and investment facilitation，which is an important part of international economic and trade rules. At the same time，the goods exhibition area，service exhibition area，and innovation incubation exhibition area respectively reflect important provisions related to goods，services，and investment in international economic and trade rules，which is conducive to the negotiation and communication of overseas market entities such as exhibitors，purchasers，suppliers，and investors，and provides convenience for promoting trade and investment cooperation. Next，as the role of international economic and trade rules in promoting high-standard opening becomes increasingly evident，the CIIE needs to further improve its alignment with rules from enriching content and improving mechanisms，in order to play a greater and better role in the CIIE.
