This paper conducts a thorough analysis of the application of Generative Artificial Intelligence（GAI）in the domains of intelligent cockpits and autonomous driving，as well as its profound impact on the advancement of vehicular intelligence.The study reveals that the user experience in intelligent cockpits has been significantly enhanced by the GAI’s superior expressiveness and comprehension abilities，particularly in the context understanding of voice assistants，offering a more comprehensive service experience to users.In the realm of autonomous driving，GAI has increased the precision and efficiency of data processing，reduced costs，and expedited the optimization and testing of models，facilitating the industry’s shift from rule-based to data-driven paradigms.This shift has notably improved the vehicle’s capabilities in perception，understanding，and planning within complex road environments.Despite facing challenges in multimodal data fusion，cloud computing power，vehicular hardware deployment，as well as safety and consistency issues，GAI is expected to integrate more deeply into intelligent cockpits and autonomous driving systems in the future.The paper anticipates the continuous improvement of GAI technology and its pivotal role in driving the digital and intelligent transformation of the automotive industry，emphasizing its potential as a key technology.
