Currently，artificial intelligence（AI）technology is rapidly advancing from perceptual intelligence and cognitive intelligence towards Artificial General Intelligence（AGI）.AGI is set to become a vital engine of China’s new productive forces，providing powerful momentum for the development of China’s new-model industrialization.However，the deep integration of AGI with intelligent manufacturing presents a complex challenge，involving numerous issues such as system integration，technology verification，data security，standardization，and talent cultivation.Today，generative AI can be seen as a key technology on the road to artificial general intelligence（AGI）.This article examines the empowerment of new-model industrialization through generative AI，elucidating at the technological level how it can bring about profound innovations in China’s intelligent manufacturing.On the application level，it explores how AGI technology translates into value within real-world smart manufacturing scenarios.In the context of forging new quality productivity，the article further discusses strategies for establishing standardized research and development paradigms，fostering digital infrastructure，and reinforcing industrial data security—core elements of production—to advance new-model industrialization and drive further achievements in China’s industrial evolution.
