The sustainability report that showcases a company’s performance in environmental protection，social responsibility，and corporate governance continues to receive widespread attention and support，and is regarded by the market as the company’s “second financial report”. ESG rating，as a tool for quickly measuring a company’s ESG management level and ESG risk，plays a positive complementary role in loan credit，investment，internal management，and other scenarios. Based on recent ESG policy trends and regulatory requirements both domestically and internationally，ESG disclosure indicators are becoming more refined and rigorous，and companies are increasingly focusing on their own ESG performance. This article takes listed companies as the research subject and conducts rating performance analysis based on the CCXGF ESG rating method and the latest ESG data from the ESG Ratings database in 2023. Research has found that the ESG information disclosure level and ESG rating performance of listed companies in China have significantly improved compared to 2022；Listed companies need to pay attention to domestic and international ESG policy requirements and information disclosure standards，identify their own shortcomings and strengthen data collection capabilities，benchmark excellent companies in the industry，improve ESG management level，and promote the development of new quality productivity in China. In addition，regulators at all levels，stock exchanges，ESG rating agencies，ESG data providers，and other parties need to leverage their respective advantages to continuously build ESG rating indicators and systems with Chinese characteristics，making ESG a new channel for promoting sustainable economy and trade cooperation between China and the international community.
