In recent years，the EU has emerged as a global leader in energy transition，actively responding to the challenge of climate change and committed to driving the green transformation of the energy system. By implementing a series of top-level strategies，such as the European Green Deal，the EU has made significant efforts to develop renewable energy，improve energy efficiency，and strengthen international cooperation，setting an example for the world in addressing climate change and achieving sustainable development goals. In 2023，the EU achieved significant progress in energy transition，with the continuous growth of renewable energy generation and significant improvement in energy efficiency. Technological innovation also continued to emerge. The share of renewable energy in power generation continued to increase，with wind and solar power becoming the main driving forces of the energy transition. However，the EU also faces many challenges in the process of energy transition，such as energy supply security issues，a significant increase in investment needs，and the difficulty of coordinating international cooperation. These issues have constrained the continuous advancement of the EU’s energy transition to some extent. To overcome these challenges，this report conducts a thorough analysis of the current situation and problems of EU energy transition and puts forward a number of policy recommendations.
