The 2022 Australian Federal Election was held on May 21. The Labor under the leadership of Anthony Albanese defeated Scott Morrison who sought re-election，ending the nine years of the Coalition in government. This article aims to examine the background，process，results and implications of the 2022 Federal Election and present Australia’s political parties’ policies and their new trends on issues like diplomacy，defense，climate and clean government. A compilation of key data on the election results reveals the trends of the two major parties hitting a new low in first-preferential voting and a new high in election expense，and the sudden rise of “Tea Party” led by independents. In the end，this paper illustrates the new landscape of Australian politics through presenting the post-election personnel adjustment and post-election summaries of major political parties.
