2022年澳大利亚工党时隔9年重新上台执政。较之前自由党-国家党联盟政府，工党政府外交更趋平衡、务实。一方面继续坚守美澳同盟，全力配合美国的“印太战略”；另一方面又积极融入亚洲，着手修复与东南亚和南太地区国家的关系。在其积极推动下，中澳关系也出现明显回暖迹象。
In 2022，the Australian Labor Party returned to power after 9 years. Its diplomacy is more balanced and practical than that of the previous Coalition government. For one thing，it remains committed to the US-Australia alliance and fully engages in the US “Indo-Pacific Strategy”；for another，it actively engages with Asia and begins to repair its relations with countries in Southeast Asia and the South Pacific. China-Australia relations have also shown clear signs of improvement.
