2023年巴西科技面临往届政府削减预算、对科技抗疫投入不足以及缺少对气候变化和生物多样性的监测与研究等遗留问题。巴西新一届政府计划制定《国家科技创新战略》，通过重振科技创新机构、培育创新生态和创业文化、发展生物经济、开发生物能源等一系列举措，加强国家科技创新体系建设、全面提升科技创新能力，并通过加强科技合作带领巴西回归国际舞台。
In 2023，Brazil is faced with a legacy of budget cuts from previous administrations，insufficient investment in science and technology to address Covid-19，and a lack of monitoring and research on climate change and biodiversity. Against this backdrop，the new Brazilian government plans to develop the National Strategy for Science，Technology，and Innovation （STI） by implementing a series of initiatives such as reinvigorating STI institutions，fostering the ecosystem of innovation and entrepreneurship，and developing the bio-economy and bio-energy，so as to strengthen the building of national STI systems and enhance its innovation performance. Also，the new Brazilian government will accelerate the country’s return to the global arena through strengthening international science and technology cooperation.
