世界知识产权组织发布的《全球创新指数2022》排名显示，中国的创新能力与表现排名已从2012年的第34位上升至2022年的第11位，呈现持续稳步提升的发展态势。从科技成果看，中国科学家聚焦“四个面向”，取得了国际领先的科技成果，有力支撑了中国经济社会的高质量发展，提升了人民的幸福感。同时，不断深化科技体制改革，营造良好的创新生态，以更加积极的态度融入全球创新网络，进一步拓展了与世界各主要创新型国家、金砖各国等科技合作的空间，不断增进了国际科技界的开放、信任、合作，构建了全方位、多层次、宽领域的科技开放合作新格局。
According to the 2022 Global Innovation Index released by the World Intellectual Property Organization，China saw its ranking jump from 34th in 2012 to 11th in 2022，showing a steady improvement. In terms of Science and Technology （S&T） achievements，Chinese scientists have focused on facing the frontier of world science and technology，the main battlefield of economy，the major needs of the country，and people’s life and health，making world-leading S&T achievements，which has strongly supported the high-quality development of the Chinese economy and society as well as enhanced people’s sense of happiness. At the same time，China has deepened the reform of S&T system，created a sound innovation environment，and got involved into the global innovation network with a more positive attitude. It has further expanded S&T cooperation with major innovative countries and BRICS，enhancing the openness，trust and cooperation of the international S&T community，and building a new pattern of all-round，multi-level and wide-ranging S&T openness and cooperation.
