In 2022,Malaysia held a national election, for the first time,no political party or party alliance won a majority of the seats in the lower house of Parliament, after all efforts,Anwar became the Prime Minister of Malaysia, and formed a unity government. In 2023,Malaysia held six state legislative assembly elections, with the ruling Pakatan Harapan and Barisan Nasional coalition tied with the opposition Pakatan Nasional, each retaining power in three states. After the relaxation of the epidemic prevention and control policy,Malaysia’s economy has recovered strongly, inflation has remained low,and the unemployment rate has tended to decline, but the exchange rate of the local currency has continued to decline, the scale of debt has expanded, and labor shortages have become increasingly prominent. Looking forward to 2023,Malaysia’s political situation will enter a relatively stable period, the government will speed up the adjustment of national development strategies and policies, and the domestic economic recovery is still facing many challenges.
