The China International Import Expo（CIIE）is the world’s first national level exhibition with import as the theme，and also a beneficial attempt for China’s high-level opening-up to the world. On the basis of analyzing the development process of the five previous editions of the CIIE，as well as the latest achievements and characteristics of the fifth CIIE. This report analyzes the role of CIIE in promoting high-level opening-up from six aspects：unblocking the “dual circulation” system，achieving institutional breakthroughs in opening-up，promoting regional coordinated development，accelerating technology introduction and industrial structure upgrading，promoting the localization of the industrial chain，and building a global community of interests. This report also puts forward the suggestions to support the development of the CIIE from aspects such as deepening institutional innovation，optimizing business environment，promoting the integration of domestic factors and international factors，expanding regional spillover effects，deeply integrating with the new technological revolution，and practicing the concept of mutual benefit and win-win results.
