2021年，兵团主要发展指标完成情况良好，实现了“十四五”良好开局。2022年，兵团虽然部分指标有所回落，但经济运行总体保持平稳。总的来说，2021～2022年，兵团积极应对各种不利因素，不断夯实发展基础，经济运行总体平稳，优势产业保持支撑作用。脱贫攻坚成果持续巩固，民生福祉持续改善。消费和投资增速有所回落，内需处在一个新的发展阶段。持续深化改革、向南发展和兵地融合工作取得新成效。全面贯彻新发展理念，高质量发展持续推进。2022年，兵团上下坚持以习近平新时代中国特色社会主义思想为指导，完整准确贯彻新时代党的治疆方略，牢牢抓住新疆工作总目标，坚持稳中求进工作总基调，全面深化改革开放，统筹疫情防控和经济社会发展，统筹发展和安全，推动兵团经济高质量发展。
