The rapid development of the manufacturing industry in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area has formed powerful benchmarks，leading and radiating new dynamics. It also provides Zhanjiang with a historic opportunity to promote “Manufacturing Industry in Charge”. In this paper，the feasible path for Zhanjiang’s “Manufacturing Industry in Charge” is explored from the dimensions of strengthening the foundation and enhancing the ability to undertake industrial transfer，implementing the big data strategy to accelerate the digital transformation of the manufacturing industry，promoting the layout of industrial chain and the development of clusters led by the big projects，and promoting the double cycle to promote the in-depth fusion of the advanced manufacturing industry and the modern service industry.
