Azerbaijan is located in the heart of the Eurasian continent，in the eastern part of the Transcaucasus region. It is an important country along the ancient Silk Road and a transportation hub connecting the Eurasian region. It has unique geographical advantages and it is in an important strategic position. After the second Nagorno-Karabakh War，the geopolitical and economic environment of Azerbaijan，as the victorious country，has greatly improved，and President Aliyev’s domestic prestige has unprecedentedly increased. In 2022，the domestic political situation in Azerbaijan remained stable，and economic development steadily advanced，continuing to shift towards a diversified economic development model. Although there has been another large-scale border conflict with Armenia，it has not escalated into a third war，and the overall security situation in the Caucasus region is controllable. While Azerbaijan continues to develop its relations with Türkiye and Russia，its relations with the Europe Union and the United States have improved，and the foundation of multi-direction diplomacy has become more stable. The year 2022 is also the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Azerbaijan. With the personal care and promotion of the leaders of the two countries，China-Azerbaijan relations have developed steadily，jointly building the “the Belt and Road” cooperation has been deepening，and international cooperation has become increasingly intensive. In the future，the two countries are expected to further strengthen cooperation in areas such as oil and gas，infrastructure construction，industrial modernization，transportation and logistics，renewable energy，information and communication，agriculture，industrial park construction，high-tech industries，tourism，and etc.
