2022年，土库曼斯坦提前举行总统大选，国家最高权力实现平稳交接，土迎来“父子共治”局面。土经济形势总体向好，实现了6.2%的中高速增长；土积极打造国际运输走廊，继续着力开展能源贸易；同时大兴民生基建，持续改善土国经济发展条件。土国面临的突出安全威胁来自邻国阿富汗，但总体可控，国内无明显动荡和骚乱苗头。土发布《2022～2028年中立的土库曼斯坦外交方针规划》，确立了更加积极的新型中立外交政策，加大了国际事务参与度和多边合作力度，积极参与全球治理，更为重视土俄、土中等双边关系。
In 2022，Turkmenistan held an early presidential election，achieving a smooth transfer of state power and ushering in a “father and son co-governance” situation. The overall situation of the local economy is improving，achieving a medium to high speed growth of 6.2%，actively building international transportation corridors，and continuing to focus on energy trade. At the same time，vigorously promote people’s livelihood infrastructure and continuously improve the economic development conditions of the country. The prominent security threat faced by Turkmenistan comes from neighboring Afghanistan，but overall it is controllable，with no obvious signs of unrest or riot domestically. Turkmenistan has released the “2022-2028 Neutral Turkmenistan Foreign Policy Plan”，establishing a more proactive new type of neutral foreign policy，increasing participation in international affairs and multilateral cooperation，actively participating in global governance，and placing greater emphasis on bilateral relations with Russia and China.
