Since the proposal of jointly building “the Belt and Road” initiative was put forward，in accordance with the overall requirements of playing a bridgehead role in the national “the Belt and Road” construction，Shanghai has made comprehensive efforts in infrastructure connectivity，functional platform creation and improvement，scientific and technological innovation and cooperation，cultural exchanges and other aspects. On the basis of in-depth understanding of the requirements of Shanghai’s service for the construction of “the Belt and Road”，combined with the achievements of Shanghai’s opening up to the outside world，and taking representativeness，integrity，and innovation as the criteria，this paper selects enterprises，universities，and institutions in key areas，which vividly demonstrates the positive effects of Shanghai’s service for the construction of “the Belt and Road”，which for other sister provinces and cities in China.
